I will admit I disagree with many of your editorials but I applaud your editorial “Keep lights on as Washington transitions to clean power” [April 7, Opinion] on the need to be cognizant of the steps needed to achieve clean energy.
The far left’s constant demands for short-term, just turn-off-the-switch aspirational goals that are simply not practical alienates many conservatives who do want to protect our environment (surprise?). Let science and the engineers create a path that is economically feasible, time-sensitive and achievable.
This requires teamwork and mature acceptance of the possible, not a divisive finger-pointing crisis approach that doesn’t hear the facts over the shouting. We can do this when we are ready to listen to each other with open minds.
