Country music singer Morgan Wallen may have “let the liquor talk” as he was arrested on reckless endangerment in Nashville, Tennessee on Sunday, April 7.
The ‘Last Night’ artist reportedly threw a chair from the sixth floor of Eric Church’s new honky tonk on Broadway, which landed three feet away from police officers. Following his arrest, many are taking to social media to bash the country music singer, seemingly losing respect for him.

Morgan Wallen Arrested On Reckless Endangerment
Around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, Morgan Wallen was placed in handcuffs and then behind bars after he nearly hit police officers with a bar chair. The ‘Wasted On You’ singer was at Eric Church’s new honky tonk bar, when he reportedly picked up and threw a chair from the sixth floor, landing just three feet away from police officers.
Wallen was arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment and was charged with disorderly conduct.
“At 10:53 pm Sunday evening, Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct,” his attorney, Worrick Robinson, said in a statement, according to a local news station. “He is cooperating fully with authorities.”

Wallen made bail, which was set at $15,250. It seems the country music singer didn’t think too much of the incident as, per the New York Post, witnesses say he was laughing throughout the entire thing

Country Music Fans Slam Morgan Wallen After Arrest
People were not happy when they learned of Wallen’s arrest, calling him “trash.”
“Morgan Wallen is forever trash,” one X user wrote.
“Can’t wait to see what meaningless apology comes from Morgan Wallen this time…” another said, referring to his controversial history.
Morgan Wallen has yet to comment on the latest arrest, but in 2020, after he was arrested for disorderly conduct at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk bar in downtown Nashville, he owned up to his actions.
“Hey, y’all just wanted to clear the air. I went out downtown last night with a few old friends. After a couple bar stops, we were horse-playing with each other,” he wrote at the time in a social media post. “We didn’t mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected.”

Morgan Wallen began trending shortly after the news broke as users continued to bash the ‘Whiskey Glasses’ singer.
“Big day for Morgan Wallen haters (me),” one X user wrote.
“Morgan Wallen fans are crazy to me, because how are you gonna support someone who is not only racist, but also violent and ugly as f–k? Like pick a struggle,” another expressed.
As one user shared a GIF of someone throwing a chair with the caption, “Morgan Wallen after letting the liquor talk last night,” referencing the lyrics to his hit single ‘Last Night’.

Morgan Wallen Haters Flood X
The comments continued to pour in as one individual said, “What’s it going to take for people to realize that, maybe, Morgan Wallen isn’t that great a person? A chair flying off the top of a 6-story building could’ve seriously injured someone, but sure, let’s keep giving a 30-year-old man passes because he makes music people like…”
“It’s not at all shocking he was arrested for throwing a chair off of a downtown rooftop. He was arrested for 3 felony charges,” another said.
And one X user wrote, “The way people defend Morgan Wallen just bc his music is ‘catchy’ when he’s not a good guy is sad to me.”
Morgan Wallen Slammed For Use Of Racial Slur In 2021
He also found himself in a controversy in February 2021 after he yelled a racial slur in Nashville. “Take care of this “p-ssy-a– m-therf—er” -,” Wallen yelled. “Take care of this p-ssy-a– n—er” ,” he then said directed towards one of the people with his group.
His record label suspended him and his music was briefly dropped by CMT. After the backlash, Wallen issued an apology: “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”

Since then, he has had an incredible comeback. Last year, Wallen won the Country Music Association Awards New Artist of the Year award and took home the award for best new country artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Hit single, ‘Last Night’ broke the record for “the lengthiest reigning song by a solo artist at the summit of this iconic music chart,” per Hank FM.
