Opening day is this week for the majority of MLB teams, but the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres actually got their seasons underway last week in South Korea. The two NL West rivals played two regular-season games as part of the MLB World Tour: Seoul Series 2024, with each squad winning one game. Of course, both games were overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Shohei Ohtani and his former interpreter, which isn’t likely to go away any time soon. That said, with Mookie Betts and Ohtani in the lineup every day (at least for the time being), the road to the 2024 World Series could very well be going through L.A. for the first time since 2020.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. During the 2023 MLB season, 29 players hit 30 or more home runs, including both Ohtani and Betts, the latter of which homered in the second game in Seoul. So, with that in mind, how many can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
