You have to credit the Golden State Warriors for at least trying.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the Dubs’ front office reached out to the Los Angeles Lakers prior to last week’s trade deadline to see if they could pry LeBron James away from L.A. They were rebuffed at every turn, but even asking about a blockbuster deal of that magnitude shows that Golden State is not quite ready to let its dynasty ride off into the sunset. And things have been heating up in the Bay Area as the Warriors’ recent winning streak has them right back in the play-in tournament picture, where they could face King James, AD and the rest of the Lakers in what would be a marquee matchup. Now, wouldn’t that be something?
