The profile of Brian Heywood and his initiatives adds one more to the hundreds of reasons for a state income tax. It may serve to discourage the billionaire hedge funders from moving to Washington and, if not, they’ll pay something closer to their fair share.
And that hypothetical commuter from Everett to Bellevue that Heywood cites having to pay higher gas prices as a result of the Climate Commitment Act can take Sound Transit bus route 532. How does would-be Gov. Heywood feel about public transportation?
