The Kansas City Chiefs had a down year by their own lofty standards, and yet Patrick Mahomes has seemingly willed them back to the AFC Championship Game for the sixth season in a row. They were facing a familiar foe in Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, who looked primed to finally vanquish their rival, only to come up short in what might have been this Buffalo team’s last stand. And while the AFC Championship Game is familiar territory for K.C. and Mahomes, they will have to do something they’ve never done in five trips prior: win on the road. Likely MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens look like an absolute buzzsaw at the moment, but if anyone can stop them, it’s a rejuvenated Chiefs squad looking to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots pulled off the feat nearly two decades ago.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In the Super Bowl era (1966-present), 24 QBs have thrown four or more touchdowns in conference championship games over their careers. Mahomes has 14 and will be looking to add to that total on Sunday. So, with that in mind, how many can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
